The project
The I MOVE project is a European cooperation project aiming to develop practical tools on the topics of Diversity, Accessibility, Equity, Inclusion for professionals in the cultural sector, thus promoting an evolution of practices in this sector.
Our project will focus on empowering life-long learning for staff from museums, science centres and other cultural organisations to address non-publics, non-visitors or anyone who could feel uncomfortable in a cultural organisation, especially addressing minorities in terms of gender, ethnicity, disabled people, culture, age, etc.
The Objectives
To support organisations and staff to identify DAEI (Diversity, Accessibility, Equity and Inclusion) issues and to be able to define a self-evaluating methodology
To develop educational resources to answer to the concrete and practical question of developing DAEI in the activities of any cultural organisation
- easily accessible and usable by every kind of cultural organisation and every cultural professional
- providing a sustainable effect
- allowing a tailored solution in each specific context
To upskill organisations and staff in matter of DAEI through a user-centred approach, matching academic knowledge and field experiences
- relying on training facilities
- and on a reflexive approach
The activities
The IMOVE project has been planned as a booster to push forward the DAEI change deep inside the activities of the consortium’s members, and we hope, of future users of the tools developed.
Three main outputs will be accessible in 5 European languages :
